Privacy Policy

Out the Rudes is built around a simple idea: your imported Instagram data is yours. This policy explains on-device analysis, optional iCloud sync, and the information used to manage subscriptions.
What the app does
Out the Rudes reads the followers-and-following files from an Instagram data export that you download from Instagram and you choose to import. All parsing, comparison, and history happens on your device.
What we collect
We do not receive your imported Instagram exports, follower lists, or usernames. Subscription processing uses purchase information as described below.
- No account or sign-up.
- No advertising or cross-app tracking.
- No servers of ours ever receive your imported data, your follower lists, or the usernames in them.
Your imported data
Snapshots you import are stored locally on your device. You can delete imported data in Settings → Storage → Delete all data. If iCloud sync is enabled, the app's confirmation explains deletion from iCloud as well. Deleting the app removes its local data; it does not cancel a subscription or automatically delete data already stored in iCloud.
iCloud sync (optional)
If you enable Sync via iCloud (a Pro feature), your snapshots and tags are stored in the private database of your own iCloud account so your other devices can read them. We do not have access to that private database. iCloud storage is provided by Apple and governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.
Subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple. The app uses RevenueCat to manage subscription access and purchase status. RevenueCat receives purchase history, transaction information, and subscription status to validate purchases, restore access, provide subscription functionality, and perform subscription analytics. Subscription requests also include an app user identifier and technical information such as the app version, device model, operating system, preferred languages, and Apple's vendor identifier for the device when available.
The app does not give RevenueCat your name, Instagram account, follower lists, usernames, or imported exports. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for more information about its handling of this information.
The app never connects to your Instagram account and never talks to Instagram's servers on your behalf. Out the Rudes is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta.
Children
The app is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version ships with the app and the effective date above is revised.
